Spade, Spacer & Figure-8 Configurations

Configuration Description
Spade / Paddle Blank Solid blank used to completely block the flow path and provide positive isolation
Spacer Maintains an open flow path between mating flanges
Figure-8 / Spectacle Blind Combines a blind and spacer in one reversible assembly
Spade / Paddle Blank A solid line blank used when complete mechanical isolation of a piping section is required. The integral paddle provides a convenient handling point and visible identification.
Spacer Used when the line is in the open position. The spacer maintains the required flange configuration while allowing the process to flow.
Figure-8 / Spectacle Blind A combined blind and spacer assembly that can be rotated between the open and isolated positions.
