Long Radius Buttweld Elbows

ASME B16.9 | 45°, 90° & 180° Long Radius Elbows | 1.5D, 3D & 5D Radius | Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Alloy & Nickel Alloys

Elite Long Radius Buttweld Elbows are factory-made pipe fittings designed for smooth changes in piping direction while maintaining efficient flow characteristics. Standard long-radius elbows generally use a 1.5D centerline radius, providing a smoother flow transition and lower pressure loss compared with short-radius configurations.

Elite supplies 45°, 90° and 180° return elbows in seamless, welded and fabricated construction, with a wide range of carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, alloy steel, nickel alloy and other materials. Special 3D, 5D and project-specific radii can also be manufactured according to drawings and engineering requirements.

Long Radius Elbow Types

45° Long Radius Elbows

Designed for gradual 45° changes in piping direction where smooth flow transition is required.

90° Long Radius Elbows

The most common LR configuration for changing piping direction by 90°, widely used in process, utility and industrial piping systems.

180° Long Radius Return Elbows

Used to reverse flow direction by 180°. Commonly used in heat exchangers, boilers, heater coils and compact process piping arrangements.

3D Long Radius Elbows

Extended-radius elbows with approximately 3D centerline radius, generally manufactured according to project requirements.

5D Long Radius Elbows

Large-radius elbows with approximately 5D centerline radius for specialized piping applications requiring a gradual flow transition.

Fabricated Long Radius Elbows

Custom-fabricated elbows for large diameters, special wall thicknesses, unusual radii and engineered piping systems.
