Short Radius Elbows

ASME B16.9 | 45°, 90° & 180° Short Radius Elbows | 1D Radius | Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Alloy & Nickel Alloys

Elite Short Radius Buttweld Elbows are factory-made pipe fittings designed for directional changes where compact piping geometry and reduced installation space are required. Standard short-radius elbows have a tighter centerline radius than long-radius elbows, making them suitable for compact piping layouts and applications where space is limited.

Elite supplies 45°, 90° and 180° return configurations in seamless, welded and fabricated construction, with carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, alloy steel, nickel alloy and other materials available according to project requirements.

Short Radius Elbow Types

90° Short Radius Elbow

The primary standard SR configuration, generally using a 1D centerline radius. Used where a compact 90° directional change is required.

45° Short Radius Elbow

Used for a 45° directional change where a compact configuration is required. Availability and dimensions depend on the applicable standard and size.

180° Short Radius Return Elbow

Used for 180° flow reversal in compact piping arrangements, including selected heat exchanger, boiler and process applications.

Seamless Short Radius Elbows

Manufactured from seamless pipe or tube for applicable sizes, materials and wall thicknesses.

Welded Short Radius Elbows

Suitable for selected larger sizes and materials where welded construction is permitted by the project specification.

Fabricated Short Radius Elbows

Custom-manufactured for large diameters, special wall thicknesses and non-standard configurations.
